·        Looked up ‘"home schools" AND watauga county AND registered’ but couldn’t get the results I wanted
·        Looked up ‘North Carolina "homeschool association" statistics’ and found a link to the NC Dept. of Non-Public Education (www.ncdnpe.org) that had the # of home schools by county listed
·        As of 2006, there were 240 registered home schools in Watauga County
